Day 1: Mekele – Drive to Danakil – Dallol

• Early morning departure from Mekele in 4×4 vehicles
• Drive through the Afar desert to reach the Danakil lowlands
• Visit the Dallol Sulphur Fields: colorful mineral springs, acidic pools, and salt formations
• Explore salt canyons, and salt lakes, and watch traditional Afar salt miners
• Overnight in open-air camping near Hamed Ela village (basic conditions)

Day 2: Lake Assale – Camel Caravans – Salt Flats

• An early visit to Lake Assale – mirror-like salt lake at sunrise
• Witness camel caravans loading salt blocks by Afar miners
• Walk across endless salt pans and explore dramatic salt formations
• Return to camp for rest and cultural interaction with the local Afar people
• Overnight in Hamed Ela or basic local guesthouse
